Enquiries pour in on Education Plus guidance programme in Kannur on june 9

Special Correspondent

KANNUR: The guidance-cum-orientation programme being organised by The Hindu-EducationPlus here on June 9 for students seeking admission to professional courses through the State government's online counselling process conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has evoked a good response from students and parents.

The programme, titled “Courses & Choices — Sessions on the Professional Streams and More,” is being held here for the first time. The annual event had started in the State in 2004.

Registrations for the event, scheduled to be held at Hotel Royal Omars from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., have begun. Queries from students and parents reflect their interest in participating in the programme in which experts will offer guidance on choosing the right courses and careers.

A panel of experts from engineering and medical colleges will offer an overview of the current professional education scene and the array of courses available in the State.

The panellists will answer queries of the participants relating to the online allotment, courses and career choices. A handbook that contains information on the courses and institutions will be offered to the participants.
