KANPUR: The Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology has been granted the status of an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (IED) Centre through a national-level selection. It is the only institute of UP to be granted such a status.
The selection has been made on the basis of academic performance of the institute, infrastructure, projects proposed and the vision to be associated with the Government of India.
With this, Uttar Pradesh has become one of the eight states selected for establishing the IED centre, a novel venture of the Department of Science and Technology, GOI.
On getting this status, the institute can aid students, artisans, entrepreneurs and working professionals to get into self-employment.
Anyone with an innovative project related to upliftment of rural areas, improvement in power scenario, electrical, electronic innovation meant to serve the society can submit his/her idea to the IED Centre at PSIT.
